Occupational therapists (OTs) facilitate the development of life skills to help children participate meaningfully and independently in the activities of their daily life, including self-care, play and school participation. Our OTs work with children, parents, educators and others to develop an intervention program that best meets the needs and individual goals of the child. Up Therapy Services are now offering sessions via Telehealth to enable families across Australia to access essential services.
Therapy sessions work on a range of skills including self-care; gross motor; fine motor; visual motor; attention; emotional regulation; play; social; sensory.
Intervention may include:
Developing a child’s skills and abilities;
Modifying the environment;
Adapting a task or activity;
Recommending equipment;
Up-skilling family members and educators;
