Shay Addison is a warm, pragmatic and discerning psychologist with clinical experience across Australia and the UK. Her strong body of work and bright and engaging nature has led her to present at international conferences, be involved in universities and publish in academic journals.
Shay treats depression, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, anger and trauma, with a particular skill for relationship and sexual issues. She strives to promote healthy life decisions and likes to develop resilience, a capacity for self-reflection, the ability to self-analyse emotions and behaviour and the regulation of disruptive behaviours in her clients. She communicates in a gentle and non-judgemental way that makes her clients feel stronger and optimistic that change is possible.
Shay uses Schema Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and is an associate member of Australian Psychological Society.
“Therapy is a place for people to know the hope that things can be better, to be reassured that they can be active agents of change in their life, and to come out the other end with the resilience and skills to confidently enhance their life satisfaction.”
