Psychspace was created to provide a non-judgmental and welcoming atmosphere to bring about positive change.
I have over 15 years’ experience working with a wide range of mental health issues within the government system and as a private practitioner. I have a particular interest in trauma, PTSD and personality disorders. Though the completion of my Master degree, specializing in Clinical Psychology, I conducted research into the effects of pre-term birth on parents, particularly focusing on the identification and prevalence of PTSD, depression and Anxiety.
During my time living and working in remote mining towns, I was also involved in creating community awareness programs, running support groups, providing counselling to both residential and FIFO workers and creating and facilitating information seminars to businesses, schools and the community.
Now located in Noosa Hinterlands, PsychSpace has a clinic in Pomona. The clinic provides individual counselling and assessments. This includes trauma therapy and peri-operative anxiety management. I have also been involved with the Keith Payne Unit at Greenslopes private hospital, where I assisted with running veteran specific clinical programs and individual counselling to both inpatients and day program users.
