Creative Focus is a private clinical psychology practice that provides strategic evidence-based psychological interventions for high prevalence disorders such as Depression and Anxiety, as well as treatment for other mental health difficulties. During COVID-19 a focus is given to personal and relationship well-being, stress-management, mindfulness, coping with isolation, and the importance of setting up a daily routine/structure. Dr Hughes is an experienced clinician and adept at remaining sensitive and supportive of your needs. During your therapeutic contact, Dr Hughes will deploy a wide range of assessment, functional, and therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications Simone has a Ph.D. with Distinctions in Clinical Psychology (includes a Clinical Psychology Masters degree), a Bachelor of Arts degree with first class Honours, and a Diploma in Creative Writing. She received a Chancellors’ Commendation for her Doctoral thesis that explored the intergenerational family experience of chronic mental illness.
