Dr Sherif Tawfeek

Sherif is specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for over 25 years’ experience who is currently working as Senior Consultant at St John of God, Midland Hospital. Sherif is an advanced endoscopic lead surgeon for various types of gynaecological problems. Sherif completed his post-graduate training and his medical research work in the UK. Sherif is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the American and UK Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Sherif has received a high level of training in general gynaecology and specialist in advanced Endoscopic and Robotic surgical skills in highly recognised training units in the UK, Europe and Australia. This was consolidated by obtaining a Diploma in Gynaecological operative endoscopic surgery from France and Master Degree in infertility and reproductive medicine from UK, in addition to being a Fellow of International College of surgeons. Sherif is qualified healthcare professional with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of women’s diseases, especially related to female reproductive system. Possess strong expertise in advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopic and robotic surgery, such as Pelvic pain / Extensive endometriosis (all stages); Infertility; Skilled in IVF units and complex reconstructive related subfertility tubal and ovarian surgeries; Laparoscopic / robotic / Hysteroscopic removal of fibroids; Total or Subtotal Laparoscopic Hysterectomy and Endometrial ablation. Sherif demonstrated success in delivering considerate healthcare services to women, promote gender equality, and healthy lives, and wellbeing for all ages.
