Dr Scott Eaton

Dr Scott Eaton trained in psychiatry in Cambridge, UK. He became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1998. He completed his specialist training in the UK and moved to Australia in 2002. In 2003 he completed his Australian exams and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2004. He is an accredited member of the Faculty for Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry for the RANZCP. He is an accredited examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist and a recently completed his second term as a member of the Committee for Examinations OSCE Sub-Committee for the RANZCP. He was a member of the RANZCP Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Working Party which advised the Department of Health (Victoria). He has previously held the position as Adjunct Senior Clinical Lecturer at Monash University for over 10 years. He is a past president of the Rural Psychiatrists’ Association of Victoria and has held the office of Secretary for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists former Section (now Faculty) of Consultation – Liaison Psychiatry. He has completed training as an EMDR therapist and is a member of the EMDRAA. He has a complex case load involving veterans, emergency services personnel, suffers following work injuries and road accidents, and the intellectually disabled. Dr Eaton is taking on long term cases for PTSD, intellectual disability, DVA, TAC and Work Cover. He will also do single assessments and management plans to assist GPs for other psychiatric disorders. He has experience in assessing patients for Vic Roads requirements and firearms licensing.
