Dr Mirella Di Benedetto

I have worked with clients with a range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, loss and grief, trauma, relationship issues, bulimia, sleep disturbances, chronic illness related issues, LGBTIQA+ issues, weight management, assertiveness and self-esteem issues, adjustment disorder, PTSD, OCD and stress management. I have worked with clients as young as 14 up to 80 years of age and from various cultural backgrounds. I use an evidence-based approach that is tailored for each client. Trained in health psychology, my approach is holistic and examines lifestyle factors as well as emotional, behavioural and thought processes that contribute psychological problems. We will work together to achieve the best possible changes and to maximise your overall health. I have 20 years experience working in tertiary education as a lecturer and tutor. I am available for report seminar, workshops or lectures in topics related to mental health, health psychology, health coaching and chronic illness self-management. I have extensive experience in conducting research on topics related to depression, stress, mindfulness, self-care, burnout and resilience.
