Elwood Family Clinic is a general practice located in Elwood Village, 50 metres from the Glen Huntly Road-Ormond Road roundabout. Our experienced General Practitioners (GPs), GP Psychotherapist, Psychologists, Dietitian, and Receptionists aim to provide excellence in patient care and in patient service. We strive for the best outcomes for our patients and for their physical, psychological, and social well-being. We manage acute medical problems and chronic disease. We promote preventive activities and healthy lifestyles. Dr Andrew Baird writes... I have 25 years’ experience in general practice. I obtained my medical degree at Edinburgh University. I trained in general practice in South West Scotland, in rural medicine in the Mid West region of WA, and in anaesthetics in the North West of England. I worked as a rural GP in Western Victoria for 11 years, prior to moving to Melbourne in 2007. I was a part-time Medical Educator for the Australian General Practice Training program from 2010 to 2018, and a sessional Senior Lecturer in the Department of General Practice, Flinders University, SA from 2007 to 2017. I am a tutor for Year 1 medical students at University of Melbourne. My interests are in all areas of general practice and family medicine. I am based at Elwood Family Clinic from where I provide bulk-billed video consultations. I do not see patients at the Clinic.
